Most hiccups in Fuguro clear up in seconds, and a fair few of them turn out to be the app working exactly as it should. This page walks the common ones: trouble signing in, reviews that look missing, and sound that won't play. Start with the quick fixes, then jump to the part that matches what you're seeing.
If one of those didn't do it, find your issue below. Still stuck after that? Write to contact@fuguro.app and tell us what you saw.
Almost every login problem comes down to the password or the email on file. Here is how to get back to your account.
If your password isn't being accepted, tap Forgot passwordon the login page. Enter the email you sign in with, type the four-digit code we send you, then set a new password of at least six characters. You'll be back in straight after.
Codes usually land within a minute. If yours hasn't, check your spam or promotions folder and make sure you typed the same email you registered with. Still nothing? Request a fresh code, since each new one replaces the last.
Changing the email on an account isn't self-serve yet, so if you can't receive mail at your registered address, write to contact@fuguro.appand we'll help you get back in and move your account across.
This is the most common thing people write in about, and it's almost always Fuguro working as designed. Here's what's really happening.
Reviews appear only when an item's timer runs out. Right after a lesson there's nothing to do yet: the first review for a new kana is about an hour away, and for a Core word about four hours. An empty queue usually just means you're caught up. Check the Future forecast on your dashboard to see when the next batch is due.
Each session serves up to your reviews cap (75 by default) and holds the rest for the next one, so a big queue arrives in sittings rather than all at once. You can raise or lower that cap in Settings. Items you've fully learned reach Immortal and leave reviews for good, which can also shrink the queue.
New lessons arrive a level at a time, and the next level unlocks only once you've carried enough of the current one through reviews, so doing your reviews is what opens more. One thing that's by design, not a bug: all of Phase 1 is free and Phase 2 is free through level 5, and once you reach level 6 of Core Ascent, new lessons need Fuguro Plus. Your reviews keep coming either way. See Billing & Plans.
The daily ritual ring and streak track just today and start fresh each day, so they read zero at the start of a new one. That's only the daily tally. Your levels, your learned items, and your SRS standing are all kept and never reset on their own. The only thing that wipes progress is the Reset button you confirm yourself in Account.
The last cluster of common questions: sound that won't play, the theme not behaving, and a payment that hasn't shown up yet.
When an item has audio you'll see a speaker to tap. If nothing plays, check your device volume first, and on a phone make sure the silent or mute switch is off. Then check the browser tab isn't muted. Some browsers also block sound until you interact with the page, so one tap usually wakes it up.
Your theme choice is stored on the device you're using, not on your account, so each phone and computer keeps its own look. That's deliberate. If it ever resets on one device, it's usually because the browser cleared its site data. Just flip it again from the profile menu, or the top nav on the public pages.
A successful payment unlocks Fuguro Plus within moments. If the app still looks locked, refresh the page or sign out and back in so it picks up your new status, then look at the Membership card on your Accountpage. If it's still not there a few minutes on, email contact@fuguro.appwith the receipt from checkout and we'll put it right.
If none of the above fixed it, we'd like to help. Write to contact@fuguro.app from the email on your account, and include what you were doing, what went wrong, and the device and browser you were using. A screenshot helps a lot. The more you can tell us, the faster we can track it down.
