The arcade is a set of short, fast games built from the exact kana and vocabulary you're already learning. They're a change of pace from reviews that still does real work: a couple of minutes that tells you which items are solid and which are about to trip you up.
You'll find Gamesin the main menu, next to lessons and reviews. The page shows the day's headliner up top, then every game laid out by phase.
Open the headliner or tap any game in your phase. Each one has a different format, so the same items feel new depending on whether you're matching, listening, or typing.
Choose one of the levels you've already finished to focus on its items, or hit Surprise Meto mix in items from everything you've cleared. Levels you haven't reached yet stay locked until you get there.
Most games let you dial the difficulty up or down before you start, and toggle sound on or off. Pick the setting that keeps you on your toes without tipping into frustrating.
The round runs, you get your score, and that's it. The score lives only in that round to push you next time. Nothing carries into your reviews, so a bad run costs you nothing.
Here's the current line-up. We add new games over time, so what you see on the games page may be a little ahead of this list.

Read and translate word after word before time runs out.
A game needs something to drill, so it opens once you've completed all the lessons on your phase's first level. From there, each level you clear is added to what the games can pull from. See Lessons & Phases for how levels unlock.
While you're in Kana Awakening, the kana games are yours to play and the vocabulary set sits locked, since there are no kanji words to drill yet. Cross into Core Ascent and that second set opens on its own.
The arcade isn't a fixed set. We keep building new ways to drill the same items, and they show up on the games page as they're ready, no update needed on your end. It's worth a look now and then to see what's new.
The arcade is the easiest way to make daily practice something you actually want to open. See how it fits a daily routine in Best Way to Use Fuguro, or head back to all help sections.
